The recent budget, 28th October 2026, was largely business as usual. Monies were moved around, a few concessions to the ever rising cost of living. The chancellor spoke, then the leader of the opposition feigned outrage at this farrago.
It was actually, very similar to one the opposition chancellor would have delivered if his had been the governing party.
Sticking plasters to staunch the bleeding from wallets and purses. Analgesics to dull the pain of flaring energy prices. As always a palliative exercise, leaving society seriously sick. What is required, of course, is major surgery to remove the malignancy, capitalism.
